We are not medical professionals
We include information on safety in every class we teach, including aspects which are most relevant to the tie being taught. However it can also be useful to look at various resources to better understand the risks of Shibari and your own risk profile.
Safety Resources We Use
These are the resources we use most often and are from sources we know and trust.
The Rope Bottom Guide by Clover
Nerve and Circulation Problems (link deactivated) blog post by WykD Dave
Netter Atlas of Human Anatomy and Netter's Anatomy Coloring Book
We also use our notes from classes and private tuition from a range of sources including experienced teachers and medical professionals, our personal experience with rope, and KnottyButt ’s knowledge from her degrees and vanilla professional training. However we are still always learning and new information is learnt by the community over time through academic research and groups like the Rope Incident Reports group and the Rope Bottom Network (discord).
Other Safety Resources
These are other resources we use less often but include information we agree with and think is important.
