Attendee Infomation and Expectations
The house safe word is red. If someone says red everything in that scene or conversation must stop. If someone being tied wants to be out of bondage immediately they can use the word scissors, this means get them out of rope as quickly as is possible safely. Be aware that often untying is safer than cutting someone out and scissors doesn’t mean cut them out.
This event is for people of the age of 18 or over and who have the ability to consent.
You must gain consent before touching any person in any way, this includes hugs and handshakes. You must gain consent before tying or engaging in any form of BDSM or kink. You must gain consent before touching anyone’s belongings.
Your equipment and personal belongings are your responsibility.
Rope bondage is a dangerous activity and by participating you acknowledge that any physical or emotional harm that happens to you or your partner at the event or while engaging in rope bondage in the future is the sole responsibility of you and your partner.
Anyone tying must have a pair of EMT shears or a strap cutter within easy reach. This includes self tiers.
Do not interrupt scenes or aftercare, this includes people self tying. If you are worried about safety or consent, or would like to use the space, inform an organiser or teacher. You can interrupt a scene only when a safety or consent concern is substantial and time sensitive such as someone is falling.
You must follow any safety advice given by the organisers and teachers of the event.
Do not use abusive, offensive or inappropriate language such as anything sexist, racist, body negative including fatphobic, ageist, ableist, etc. Do not aggressively flirt or use uninvited objectifying language.
Use correct pronouns. If someone corrects you about someone’s pronouns, correct yourself and move on.
Do not tie above your skill level especially in more advanced ties. If an organiser or teacher asks you to stop a tie or scene because they believe it is above your skill level, stop immediately even if you disagree with them.
Do not attend our events while under the influence of alcohol or recreational or illegal drugs. This excludes caffeine and nicotine which are both acceptable.
Do not smoke or vape within the space.
Make your partners and the organisers aware of any conditions or medications or drugs that may affect your ability to tie or be tied, or affect treatment if an accident happens. This includes illegal substances taken within a week or two before the class. This is so that adjustments can be made for the class and so that if an accident does happen, correct information can be given to medical professionals. Be aware that painkillers may affect your ability to notice an issue in rope.
The organisers can refuse entry or ask you to leave without giving a reason.
You must have explicit permission from everyone in any photos taken, including those in the background. If after taking a photo you notice that someone moved into frame then either delete the photo or ask the person if they would like you to delete the photo.
The person wishing to initiate an act or change an act is responsible for initiating the conversation about consent. A more experienced person tying with a less experienced person has the responsibility of ensuring that the less experienced person understands the risks and is able to give fully informed consent.
Do not out people as kinky or into rope and do not tell people in the kink world any vanilla information you know about a person.
If someone looks uncomfortable, please do your best to help them, even if this means walking away.
Don’t assume you know more than someone and lecture them without being asked for advice. This is especially important when there is a difference in privilege.
If you have a problem with someone else present, either leave the drama outside, or leave completely. If you have issue with an organiser, discuss it with them like an adult at an appropriate time.
No genital nudity at RoguePlay.
Scenes must be rope based during the main portion of the class, i.e. the main element of the scene should be rope bondage.
Tidy up any mess you make.
